December Pictures

I thought I'd take the time while our Santa cookies are cooling to post an update. Tons of things have been happening this month, and we have some great pictures to share! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

Hailey got some new pajamas and was modeling them - she's such a ham!

We unexpectedly spent the night at Grandma's, so Aaron had to borrow cousin Gwendolyn's pajamas... pink, complete with dancing hippos in dresses! :)~

Picture of Aaron from our Christmas gathering thingy:

Aaron all tuckered out in his jumperoo:

Banner I made for Gwendolyn's 1st birthday:

Wreath I made for Christmas - the picture DOES NOT do it justice. It looks much better in person.

That's it for now - we had professional Christmas pictures taken last week, but I haven't had a chance to scan them yet. I'll get them up as soon as I can!

Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays!

Things are pretty busy around here these days, but I thought I'd take advantage of my mistake of drinking too much caffiene today and post a quick update. :)

The kids are doing great. Aaron now has his two bottom front teeth coming through. (All he wants for Christmas is his two front teeth... sorry, I had to do it!) He's pulling up on absolutely everything, and walking around furniture. He's also saying mama, and bobo (for bottle.) We can't believe how fast he's progressing - he makes us so proud!

Hailey is also doing well. This week, she went to Disneyland with Grandma and Grandpa by herself for the first time. She is having SO much fun - I'll post pictures when she gets back. She is tall enough to go on Splash Mountain now - apparently she LOVED it! I thought she'd hate it and never want to go on it again, but she loved it and wanted to go again!

In a week, Aunt Crystal, Uncle Carl, and Gwendolyn will be here from Chicago to celebrate Christmas. We can't wait to get the babies together again.

That's about it for now - I'll post pictures some time this weekend if I get time. :)

A Maltese?!?

When we got our dog, Maddie, from the shelter - they told us she was a miniature poodle. The shelter doesn't really have time to look dogs over completely and make detailed breed diagnoses - when a dog comes in they give it a quick lookover and guess. When I first saw her, she had all that long, matted hair and I didn't question it. I've noticed that her hair wasn't growing back quite right - it wasn't quite thick or curly enough to be poodle hair, but she was very unhealthy when we got her, so I just thought it needed time.

The other day, I was watching an episode of "The Dog Whisperer," and there was a little dog named Josh on the show that looked EXACTLY like Maddie. Same hair, same face, same everything. He could be a clone of her, right down to the placement of her little brown flecks of hair. Cesar said that he was a maltese. A MALTESE?!?

Now it makes perfect sense. I looked up more information on Maltese dogs online, and it all seems to fit. She is a bit more stocky than a poodle, and poodles have longish pointy muzzles. Maddie's is short and stubby, and it explains her hair. I also compared pictures of Maltese's to poodles, and she looks closer to the Maltese's than poodles.

Of course, I'm not a vet so I could be wrong, but it seems that we have a Maltese instead of a mini poodle. Interesting.
