Welcome friends and family! We've set up this blog to help us share updates on our family! A lot of interesting things have been happening lately, so read on!
The most recent event happening in the Gilding house is that Aaron underwent circumcision sugery on Monday, Oct. 13th. Because of his prematurity, he wasn't able to have it done at birth; so we had to wait until he was 6 months old. (Or in his case, 7.5 months - corrected age.) He had to be put under general anesthesia and operated on by a pediatric Urologist; also because of his age. He came through the surgery with flying colors and is recovering well! We had a slight bleeding scare on Wednesday night, but everything turned out fine and he is doing great!
Also, Wednesday was our 2nd Wedding anniversary - as I mentioned before, we had Aaron's bleeding scare and spent it in the emergency room. It turned out that it was nothing, and we spent $100 on an emergency room co-pay that was unnecessary - but better to be safe than sorry. We ended up just going out to Round Table after we got out of the ER, but it had meaning to us and we enjoyed it. It's amazing that it's already been two years...
I'm taking the kids to get their Halloween pictures taken today! Hailey has decided to be a Ladybug, and Aaron is a "Wacky Spider." They both look adorable in their costumes! I will post pictures from that session as soon as I can.
Hailey has been growing so much lately - we celebrated her 4th birthday on September 28th - and she is already learning how to read and spell. She can spell a few words already with no help: dog, fly, pie, box, cat, bell, pig, and even rocket! She can recite the entire alphabet and pick out letters from various things with no help. She's so smart! She is also looking forward to starting kindergarten next fall. I think it will be good for her.
Aaron has also recently started to crawl! He is scooting across the floor for the most part, but he has started to get up on all fours and actually crawl. It's amazing watching him go from a tiny preemie to what he is now. He's definitely overcoming the obstacles put in his way in the beginning and growing and learning every day. We are so proud of him!
That's about it for us right now - I will post pictures and more updates soon! Happy Fall!

Congrats on setting up your blog! I didn't know Aaron was crawling! That is impressive for a preemie to be crawling at 7.5 months!
hey Lisa! Congrats on the blog :) I have been contemplating whether or not to switch my live journal over to blogspot due to the usability... How do you like uploading the pics? I love the kids Halloween pics! They are absolutely adorable! We plan on getting Gwendolyn's done this weekend! Hope all is well! Can't wait to see you in 2 months! By then Aaron and Gwendolyn will be crawling over each other!
